Einwahl mit Lancom IL11 auf Win2000 Server scheitert - warum

Hallo,
seit einiger Zeit versuche ich meinen Lancom IL11 so zu konfigurieren, daß er sich auf einen Win2000 Server als RAS Client einwählt.
Sowohl die Einwahl von meinem normalen PC mit Fritz!Card auf den Server klappt, als auch die Einwahl mit dem Router bei dem Call-by-Call Anbieter RTL-Net. In beiden Fällen finde ich keine besonders unterschiedlichen Einstellungen.
Der Win2000 Server nutzt eine Fritz!Card. Nach allem was ich bisher überblicke, scheint der Server die Verbindung aus einem für mich nicht erkennbaren Grunde abzubauen. Einen PPP Trace fürge ich hier mal an, leider habe ich keine Ahnung, wie ich die andere Seite tacen kann.

Kann mir irgendwer weiterhelfen?

Hi SupaTesta,

das Problem liegt hier:
Inserting IP address 172.23.56.1
das sagt mir, daß die Verbindung zum W2K-Server nicht maskiert ist - was nicht funktionieren kann (zumindest nicht für eine RAS-Einwahl auf einem W2K-Server...). Schalte für die Route zum W2K-Server einfach die Maskierung ein und es wird funktionieren.

nun weist dir der Win2k-Server schon mal eine Adresse zu. Aber offenbar scheint er nicht damit zurechtzukommen, daß das LANCOM die IP-Header-Kmpression nicht mag:

Das wird mit einem LCP-Termiate-Request beantwortet...

Normalerweise ist die Header-Kompression nur eine Option, die

a) nicht notwendig ist
b) nicht wirklich die Datenrate senkt (es würden knapp 8 Byte weniger übertragen...)

Offenbar hast du im Win2K konfiguriert, daß die Header-Kompression zwingend erforderlich ist. Schalte das im Win2K ab (normalerweise ist es übrigends auch nicht aktiviert, das es de fakto nichts bringt) und es wird funktionieren.

Man sollte halt nicht jede Checkbox anhaken nur weil sie da ist...

Im LANCOM wirst Du es auch nicht finden...

Im W2K findest du es aber in den Eigenschaften der Einwahlverbindung. Dort auf den Tab "Netzwerk" gehen und "Internetprotokoll (TCP/IP)" auswählen (Doppelklick). Im sich nun öffnenden Dialog auf "Erweitert" klicken und das Häkchen bei "IP-Headerkomprimierung verwenden" entfernen.

Hallo Backslash,
danke für Deine freundlich Hilfe, trotz längerer Suche bin ich heute jedoch nicht wirklich vorangekommen. Da die Einwahl beim Server nicht als Einwahlverbindung sonden beim RAS-Server erfolgt, gibt es diese Einstellung dort entweder nicht, oder sie liegen ganz wo anders - irgendwie scheine ich mich da etwas zu blöd anzustellen. Hast Du eine Ahnung, wo ich sie finden könnte?
