Hello, first of all sorry for writing this down in English, but I think most of you can better understand what I write in that language instead of what I would in German. Both are not my first language but I'm better versed in English.
I have configured and used a hotspot setup for more than one year, where users come and go on a monthly basis. They pay for hotspot usage and receive a ticket and are in isolation mode for obvious reasons. This all works pretty good. There is however the need of a shared printer in this community of users. Is there a way to add the ip-address of a printer so that they can install basic drivers and use the (laser-)printer from their desktops, even when connected to the hotspot? And ofcourse, where should I look for this feature?
I'm using a WLC-4006+ controller, L-151 and L452agn.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Hotspot needs a shared printer / print-server
Hi,
that should not be a problem.
Connect the printer to a port on the WLC:
If the users should login to use the printer: Add an additional network to that port and it will be protected bey the hotspot gateway.
If using is allowed without logging in, connect the port direct to the hotspot-network.
In both cases, the printer should have a fixed ip address.
Perhaps think about app (internet-printing-protocol), works via http.
Cheers

Re: Hotspot needs a shared printer / print-server
Hi,
should the printer be connected via WiFi or corded via LAN (as Udo assumes)?
Best regards,

Thanks for your help so far. The printer is connected via a wired connection using a VLAN capable switch (Lancom GS-2326).
