1723 und Analog PBX-Leitung

Beitrag von g.idone »

Sorry to write you in english but in german it would be really hard for me.

I have a 1723 connected (from Isdn1/analog port) to an analog port of an Alcatel OmniPcx25.
What I would like to do is to use this line for every call generated by the only SIP user conneteced to the router.
Problem is that Lancom doesn't work on any analog port of the PBX while it works perfectly if I connect it directly to a regular POTS line. It seems that the tone generated by the Alcatel PBX is not recognized by the Lancom... All I get is the busy tone of the PBX (which comes after 3 seconds after hang-up & no dialling).
I've tried every possible change in the routing table but... nothing.

Have you got any idea? thanks in advance...

Hi,

I dont have a 1723 but I think it might be worth a try try to configure
-> Interfaces -> Modem -> Dial-Command from >DT< to >X3DT<
-> Schnittstellen -> Modem -> Wähl-Befehl von>DT< auf >X3DT<

so long

I thought that "modem" configuration was only used to configure external modem device connected via serial interface...
In any case I tried as you told me nothing changed.

Still hoping someone had my same problem (and fix it!)...

Thank

Maybe thats the wrong plae to configure an X3. But since I dont have an 1723 I cant tell.
But the X3 must be configured somewhere for the dial command on the outgoing line. X3 tells the modem >not to wait for a dialtone when dialing< which seems to be the problem in your case.

so long,

I've read as much as I could of the manuals available: apart from the modem config menu I couldn't find anything else related to dial-tone...
I know ISDN is very popular in Germany but I thought that at least one person tried to connect a Lancom to a analog port of a Pbx...

Thanks again
