Iphone/Ipad VPN - send all traffic through VPN

Dear All,
sorry to write you in English but my written german is horrible.
I was able to create Lancom - Ipad/Iphone VPNs both with MyVPN and "manually". Ipsec VPNs work fine but I would like to send all traffic through it. This seems not possible with Ipsec VPN. Lancom routers do not support L2TP VPN (PPTP is not secure enough so I won't even consider it) which have the possibility to "send all traffic" in their Iphone/Ipad setting.

The reason I'm looking to route all traffic through VPN is the possibility to use all Iphone/Ipad app while under VPN. I was able to get the browser working by configuring the proxy server in the VPN settings. So at the moment the iphone/Ipad browser is working but not mail or any other application.

Just to clarify: having set a Proxy server, all apps using web-http services work fine. That is: Google maps, app store, weather apps, etc...
What is still not working are Mail, Printing app, lync, voip app, etc....

Hi,
Try using the IP-Router-trace and the Firewall-trace. There you should see if the packets are routed wrong or if the Firewall is blocking it.

I took the fastest way and set-up a firewall rules to allow all traffic from ipad/iphone.
Nothing changed: only http-web traffic is routed through the VPN.

I can't believe I'm the only one wanting to have a fully working device under VPN.

Hey g.idone,

sorry but i dont understand your problem. If i configure my iPhone with an ipsec vpn, all traffic goes by default through the ipsec tunnel, proxy off (all without the MyVPN app, only Settings / network / vpn ...).

Use lanconfig assistant in combination of the KB article https://www2.lancom.de/kb.nsf/1275/FB30 ... enDocument and it works. The assistant creates a vpn rule in the lancom firewall with source: any; dest.: iPhone, sourceservice:any dest.-service: any.
