First of all sorry for asking this question in english, and thank you in advance for any hints you might give me.
I'm trying to use the Lancom 1620 VPN as a DSL load balancer.
I've disabled the ADSL interface because we are not going to use any more as we have now two cable DSL connections. What I'm trying to do is to configure the eth interfaces as follows:
eth1 as LAN
eth2 as DMZ
eth3 as DSL 1
eth4 as DSL 2
I've configured the DSL connections rightly and I'm able to switch between them but I cannot use both together with the load balancer feature. While DSL 1 works right, I get this error with DSL 2:
DSL 2 Channel: too many connexions (0x3342) * this is a free translation of the error I get in spanish.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong
Any help would be appreciated.
TIA
1620 load balancing

Hi hmontoliu
Your only chance is to use different VLAN tags for each DSL connection and separate the connections with an external VLAN capable switch (or replace the 1620 by a 1711).

Your problem ist, that the 1620 has gont only one ethernet DSL interface. you can't establish more than one plain IP connection on one interface (the problem is, that if the 1620 receives a broadcast on this interface, it can't decide for which WAN connection the broadcast was meant)DSL 2 Channel: too many connexions (0x3342) * this is a free translation of the error I get in spanish

hmm, I'm not able to tag the DSL connections from the lancom LANconfig utility (my ignorance). Also there is no option to select the DSL port at Interfaces -> VLAN -> Port table.
I have to confess that we are a bit lost on this issue. Can you give us any hints or point us to some document where this is explained (I have read the ref manual but it seems to assume always that there are more than just one DSL inteface).
Thank you in advance.

Hi hmontoliu
Because there is just one ethernet DSL Intreface on a 1620, there is no need for an explicite Port konfiguration (exept the need to say, which ethernet port is the DSL port). If a device has more than one ethernet DSL interface, you can configure the DSL port at the WAN connection

just set the VLAN-ID at Communication -> Remote Sites -> Remote Sites (DSL) -> remote site's name -> VLAN ID... (in spanish: Comunicatión -> Sitios remotos -> Sitios remotos (DSL) -> Nombre -> ID de VLAN)hmm, I'm not able to tag the DSL connections from the lancom LANconfig utility (my ignorance)
that is correct - the VLAN id depends on the WAN-Connection only. Also there is no option to select the DSL port at Interfaces -> VLAN -> Port table.
The (refernce-) manual is the same for all LANCOM devices. The ammount on Interfaces depends on the spcecific device. A 1620 has got one ADSL- and one ethernet DSL interface. A 1821 for example has got one ADSL and four ethernet DSL interfacesI have read the ref manual but it seems to assume always that there are more than just one DSL inteface
