1721 not responding

Today I received our new Lancom 1721. After switching it on the power led starts blinking red (5 seconds on, 5 seconds off) but there is no response from the router. Lanconfig can't find it (in- or outband) and no other led's are lit. Pressing the reset-button doesn't work either. What could be wrong?

I noticed the following: after ten minutes the lights are green and I can configure the device. After switching it off and on again the lite blinks for another ten minutes and when it comes online all the settings are lost and the device is set to default.

All right, solved the problem. It seemed that the reset button got stuck against the backside (and thus was always pressed). I pulled it back a bit and now the device works.
