I noticed a new option for the DNS-server in LCOS 6.02: "answer inquiries to own domain with own ip address". Default this option is enabled, but I can't quite figure out what it should do and as far as I can see it's not mentioned in the reference manual.
Any ideas?

Moin, moin!
You sometimes need to turn this feature off for VoIP if the DNS domain and the SIP domain are the same, the LANCOM is not the SIP proxy and the client does not support SRV records. If the switch is on, you can not forward the query.

If you send a query for the configured DNS domain, the LANCOM will answer with it's IP address. If you turn the switch off, the LANCOM will not answer this query itself.Henry hat geschrieben:"answer inquiries to own domain with own ip address".
