no space for new firmware on 821+ (annex A)

Beitrag von giogio »

hi there,
I'm not really sure this is the right board to post to...
I tried to firmware-upgrade my 821+ but ran into this issue:
my router was previously loaded with 2 images (6.03 currently used and 5.04) so I guess this is the reason why the firmware upgrade process through LANconfig is resulting in the following error:
FAILURE
INFO1: [0101]
INFO2: no space for firmware

Lancom manual suggests to try with the "converter” but I could not find it , does anyone know the URL?

Thank you

Hi Giogio,

it is the right forum. ;)

What you need is indeed the Converter File, you'll find it on the LANCOM ftp-server:

ftp://ftp.lancom.de/Lancom/LC-821-plus/ ... 0.0015.upx

First upload this Converter File. After doing so, you'll be able to upload the LCOS File properly.

Ciao

thanks LoUiS and filou,
the upgrade was successful! the router haven't 't even got reset :-)
I have one more issue , which is actually the reason why I tried this firmware upgrade (It didn't get resolved, though). I'll start up a separate thread for that.
Thank you
